Lewis & Clark Abate Member Meeting Minutes

                                                  Sept 6th, 2025

58 Members and guests present.All recited thePledge of Allegiance with a  Moment of Silence for our departed brothers and sisters.

The meeting began at 2:00 pm.

Pres - John talked about the upcoming Poker Run and we need help with registration and the poker hands.

Also trying to go to no food stop for the run, will be working with Jeff for food after the run. Also received a few items for auction after the Poker Run.

John also asked for suggestions for our next raffle and it was decided to do a cash raffle with Otis making the motion 2nd by Grant motion passed.

John was approached about doing a College scholarship to YHS, it was discussed and agreed on with Theresa making the motion 2nd by Brady motion passed.

Treasurer - Dez gave the report on the checking account, also stated that the Chapter store for Lewis and Clark Abate apparel is now up and running you can get you Chapter apparel at

Membership Coordinator - Justin gave the new number for total members. 163 total members with 4 renewals and 5 new. Also stated that dues reminders are going out in the form of postcards and seems to be working better than a text message.

Road Captain - Justin talked on the upcoming Poker Run on Sept 27th, the Route will start at MoJo’s with stops in Norms in Springfield, The Dock in Running Water, Bottleshop in Tyndall, Kozy’s then ending back at MoJo’s

State Rep. - Lenny talked about the state wanting to do online renewal and also whether members should get either the paper form of the Freedom Flyer or the online version.

Dean had his raffle for the HD glider chair and Helmet, winner of the chair was Todd. The winner of the helmet was Chris. Proceeds went to Jo for her medical needs.

Angie asked for a donation for a young girl that has a rare cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant and will be out of state for several months for the procedure her sister will be the donor. A motion was made by Grant with a 2nd by Lenny to give a monetary donation. Motion carried
