Member Meeting Minutes 2026

LEWIS AND CLARK ABATE MINUTES 

June 6th , 2026 

The meeting opened at 2:05pm with 49 members present, all recited the Pledge Of Allegiance and took a moment of silence for our departed brothers and sisters.

John-

Started out with Mic needing help with the Ribfest on June 13th.

Calm Waters Poker Run for Veterans will be June 28th with a starting point at Mike's Roadhouse in Sioux Falls.

The group needs to start thinking about who is going to be the recipient of the September PokerRun. Suggested that we start and end at the VFW.

We will be visiting our sponsor the Icehouse after our meeting on July 11th.

We will need volunteers for the Rock n Rumble and volunteers for the tattoo contest.

It was suggested to see if we can get sponsors for the judges of the tattoo contest.

Mike talked more about the tattoo contest during Rock n Rumble. Suggesting that we have the contest between bands. 

Mike has the trophies already with a motion by Grant and a second by Marcia to reimburse Mike for the cost of them.

Dez- Gave the Financial Report, also stated that the May Poker Run was a success with 69 registered and the silent auction along with the 50/50 drawing also doing well. 

Justin- Gave the membership report with 134 members  6 new  18 renewed and  3 expired.

Lenny- Talked stated that on the State level they are looking for a MRF representative. State is also still looking for a Product mgr.

There is an Alternate State Representative position at the State level if anybody is interested.

We also need a AlternateState Rep at the Chapter level.

Congratulations to  Mike 1yr free membership. And to Liz for winning the 50/50.

Motion made by Jeremy second by Lenny  to adjourn the meeting at 2:41pm.
